DMCA Policy

Effective May 1, 2026

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page explains how to submit a takedown notice and how we handle it.

Submitting a takedown notice

If you believe a sound or clip on this site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, please email a notice to memesoundboard18@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown" and include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
  3. The exact URL(s) on memesoundboard.fun where the allegedly infringing material is located, sufficient for us to find it.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Incomplete notices may be ignored or returned for clarification. We aim to act on valid notices within a few business days of receipt.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address. A counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate or restrict access for users or sources that are determined to be repeat infringers.

False claims

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please do not submit false claims.
